Many people ask me about what a wine aerator does. Well, to put it quite simply, a wine aerator allows wine to breath by brining the wine into contact with as much air as possible. Usually you achieve this by pouring the wine through the aerator, and different aerators achieve the desired effect in different ways. Simply opening the bottle and letting it stand is not enough to get the full experience that you are meant to receive from a bottle of wine. Wine aerators are amazingly useful devices, and every wine enthusiast should own one. Sceptics simply have to try a glass of aerated wine and compare it to a glass of non aerated wine to see the difference. Once you have tasted aerated wine once, you will never go back. It is important to know which aerators are the best for when you make the inevitable decision to buy one for yourself.
